Dear Seeker

I am an educator, life skills and embodiment mentor, artist, ceremonial space holder and change agent.

I have practiced and experimented in the ancient techniques of yoga spirituality for over 25 years to develop a process that gave me access to my body’s wisdom and authenticity. I have studied neuroscience of change and coaching, and with these concepts integrated can guide you to a deeper wisdom through access to understanding your behaviours, reactions, desires and creative life force!

Deep body connection can open up your Soulful journey. Through this awakened relationship, I hope to inspire you to embodied wisdom and energy calibration, all of which helps with day to day thoughts, actions and energy and vitality. You lead …. I direct the process of learning externally or from within … toward your desired outcomes for how you wish to show up in your life.

I focus on preventative and explorative methods of mental health and emotional intelligence as these show up in the body through how you move and how you relate to your movements. Together we patiently develop tools and create skills for mental pathways of adaptability, resilience, release and healing. My approach is to start where you are at, to embody mental and emotional attitudes (bhavas) to create freedom and nervous system availability to deal with the story attached to mind and emotional imbalance. This is not a blanket prescription of yoga asana but a journey back to your whole healthful autonomy.

Through the body we access higher states of being, to experience presence with ourselves and the here and now. Through ceremony we can access states of consciousness that transcend the mind. I have over 20 years experience in holding space and guiding mind and body to your soulful experience.

When your body is strong, you are free, and like a circuit in complete connection makes electricity flow, you will find your flow through inner connection for outward glow.

Kerry’s Experience

Kerry’s yoga took her from New York (1998) to East Timor, to India, Peru, Sri Lanka and South Africa where she taught and studied internationally. Kerry has studied with the International Yoga Vedanta Center in their first and advanced trainings in India and France, and a list too long to list here.In South Africa, since 2002, Kerry Weavind founded Haum of Yoga and then Indie Yoga, for yoga enthusiasts who look for the ‘more than exercise’ benefits of yoga. Kerrys’ focus is moksha – freedom from the small self.

Since 2004, she has trained teachers, introduced a number of styles to the South African yoga market including ashtanga vinyasa yoga and (former) Anusara yoga with a handful of international Yoga teachers hosted by Indie Yoga as well as pioneering creative workshop concepts like Iyengar Yoga for Ashtangi’s. Kerry has also written a number of articles and appeared in magazines and on television promoting Yoga to mainstream viewers. She has appeared on Top Billing, Free Spirit among others, and has represented the power of yoga in most leading magazines including Marie Claire, Destiny Magazine, Women and Home and she has personally written articles for Odyssey magazine and Complete Yoga magazine among others.

Kerry has worked with groups and individuals to invite curiosity and personal mastery using the tools of yoga asana, embodiment, breathwork, pranayama, meditation and samadhi – alignment with bliss.

Kerry Weavind teaches CURIOSITY: A spiritual awakening through accessing the hidden places in your body to heal, to integrate dense and subtle energies, to settle the mind in the body, and to navigate your personality to guide it to its organic place in the mind-body-spirit dynamic. She is insightful and intuitive and has a deep understanding and objective eye to bring awareness to blindspots and aid in healing on a deep and intrinsic level. Her processes are spontaneous based on what presents in your body, your conversation and intention so she can guide you to a curiosity about experiences and how to file them and integrate them in an empowering way. Kerry likes to provoke or inspire your own awareness starting in your body and following the stories that arise there into resolving stuck and hardened, defensive or protected places. Kerry has a natural curiosity and this will take you into the rabbit hole of your own psychology, thinking patterns and habits and assumptions so that you can see clearly for yourself. Feeling safe in your body is the first step and then approaching the personality and its interactions that are causing chaos in your life, and processing these through your body energy systems is what is possible. Through releasing the dense energy we experience physically (tight muscles, stuck places), we open to the subtle energy that is healing and brings us to a true knowing of ourselves.
