Homeschooling is a big ask for any parent, especially first time parents to homeschooling. A common worry is lack of social interaction and engagement.

At The Grove, we support you while we support your teen in their online high school career.

First and foremost, here your teen will feel safe, seen and supported

We are not a tutoring center. We are a co-learning center for teenagers studying online.  We have partnered with Cambrilearn but you may join us even if on another online learning system.

We will host your teenager as many days a week that you commit to, more or less normal ‘school’ hours, while they do their school studies through their chosen online platform receiving support, coaching, goal mapping, and timeline accountability.

Grove sessions – one day a month the school day will be dedicated to the creative arts or holistic out the box activities which will be marketed and at the parents cost if an outside professional is engaged. Here we will offer amazing opportunities including journaling, creative writing, cyanotype, block printing and other student inspired opportunities.

This space allows you to do what you need to do while your teen is in the safe, natural, holistic environment of The Grove, with peers for social interaction, and an invigilator or proctor to monitor formal assessments, gently support your teenager in consistency of showing up for themselves, and manage outcomes through weekly visual goals and objectives and responsibilities (live online sessions, assessments, tests and exams).

The Grove Learning Pod in Fourways is a co-learning space for teens who are studying an online curriculum. The Grove is here to support teens in their online environment, with creating visual goals and objectives weekly, and align actions to achieve those goals, mentor teens in their high school journey, focussing on study skills, growth mindset figuring out autonomy and discipline, self-directed learning, social interaction and shared progress learning together.

We combine the flexibility of online schooling with the structure and warmth of a shared learning environment. Through this collaboration, online brings the education, we bring the life skills and values for teens to thrive in an ever changing world.

For teenagers. We are partnered with Cambrilearn to give learners a high quality education, with the support they need to thrive. We know one size doesn’t fit all and so we have established The Grove to create a flexible environment, which still crosses the t’s and dots the i’s of growing up.
